Dee – Adededayo “Dee” Aderombi is a professional comedian who identifies with the Laftamania brand. He started professional comedy at Covenant University, Ota. Dayo runs DeeOne House Of Comedy and has won several awards, including Alibaba’s Spontaneity Show. He is popularly known as DeeOne. His parents are based in the United Kingdom.
Dee was born on February 17 in Minna, Niger. He is the first son of Pastor Yemi Aderombi of Fruitful Christian Life Ministries, United Kingdom. He also has a brother and a sister – Tayo and Adejoke. Although born in Niger, his parents moved to Lagos at the age of just one year. They are now based in London, UK.
Dee’s academic journey began at Toamy Private Primary School, Ikotun, Lagos State. Later he moved to secondary school in Lagos. After his JSS 3, however, Dee moved again to the Catholic College Christ-King, Odolewu-Ijebu, Ogun State.
Dee enrolled in secondary education at Covenant University. He studied architecture. He developed his skills while studying here.
Ade has worked with many top comedians such as Alibaba, Julius Agwu, Omobaba, Basketmouth, SACO, SLK, etc. in his over 7-year career. Dee, however, first appeared in 2010 on the stage. He was seen in Julius Agwus Crack Ya Ripping in London. He finally won in 2011 the Amstel Malta Showtime as the best comedian in the Lagos region.
DeeOne set a record in December 2014. He became the first Nigerian stand-up comedian to appear on London’s famous Comedy Club Comedy Store. His audience was mostly not African.
In 2015, Adedayo won Alibaba’s Spontaneity Talent Show. He also appeared in shows such as Laff Mataz with Gbenga Adeyinka and I go to Dye 20 years on stage in London, 2015. He also appeared on Stand Up Nigeria organized by Bunmi Davies in 2014 and Basketmouth Lord of the Ribs in 2017.
Comedian DeeOne is also a regular host of Omobaba’s “Unknot your tie,” which takes place every Wednesday.
Big Brother Naija
Dee was unveiled on January 28, 2018 as a roommate. When asked what he would miss most, he pointed to his cell phone. He promised BBNaijafan’s great humor while staying in the house. If he were a world leader, Dee-One would say he would change the poverty mentality.
When asked what he would do with the prize money, he said?
DeeOne: I already have a date at the Eko Hotel for my show in November, I’m just waiting for the prize money, I also start a comedy agency, where we will sign upcoming actions.
What excites you most about other people?
DeeOne: When people do not have a sense of humor.
